Arrival and departure information for your ski vacation

On this page, you will find practical information about your arrival and departure at the chalet. This way, you know in advance what to take into account and what to expect on the first and last day of your stay.

Our chalets are available from 4:00 PM on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, we ask you to leave the chalet by 10:00 AM at the latest, so the team has enough time to clean the chalet and prepare it for the next guests.

In your travel documents, you will find the exact arrival information, contact details, and any specific details for your chalet.

Before departure

Before your vacation, you will receive the travel documents from us. These contain the practical information for your specific chalet, such as:

  • The address of the chalet;
  • Local contact details;
  • Information about arrival and welcome;
  • Parking options;
  • Any specific details about the route or final miles;
  • Information about the first evening;
  • Practical arrangements for departure.

Please check the travel documents carefully before you leave. This way, you know where to go and who to contact if you have any questions on the way or experience a delay.

Arrival at the chalet

On the day of arrival, the chalet is usually available from 4:00 PM. Arriving earlier is not always possible, as the chalet is cleaned and prepared for your stay after the previous guests have departed.

If you arrive at the destination earlier, you can often explore the village, have something to eat or drink, arrange ski equipment, or collect ski passes. Please note that luggage cannot always be placed in the chalet earlier.

At many chalets, you will be welcomed by the chalet host or a local contact person. This person will help you get settled and can provide practical information about the chalet, the schedule, and the surrounding area.

Delay on the way

Do you expect to arrive later than planned? That can happen, of course. Please inform the contact person listed in your travel documents in good time. This way, the chalet hosts or local team know approximately when to expect you and can take this into account, for example with the three-course dinner on the evening of arrival.

Please bear in mind that travel times in the mountains can sometimes be longer than expected. Winter conditions, traffic jams, border crossings, or busy changeover days can cause delays. That is why it is sensible to allow enough travel time and to report any delay on the way in good time.

Parking on arrival

Parking options differ per chalet. At some chalets, you can park directly at or close to the chalet. At other chalets, you use nearby parking spaces or a public parking lot.

Please check the parking information in your travel documents carefully, especially if you are traveling with several cars. This helps avoid confusion on arrival.

Departure day

On the day of departure, we ask you to leave the chalet by 10:00 AM at the latest. We ask you to respect this departure time, so our team has enough time and space to clean the chalet and prepare it for the next guests.

Before you leave, please check carefully that you have not forgotten any personal belongings, travel documents, chargers, ski passes, or ski equipment.

Leaving the chalet tidy

You do not need to clean the chalet completely, but we do ask you to leave it tidy. For example:

  • Take all personal belongings with you;
  • Dispose of trash according to the local instructions;
  • Place used glasses, plates, and dishes in the agreed place;
  • Leave bedrooms and shared areas tidy;
  • Report any damage or special issues.

The specific departure instructions may differ per chalet. Therefore, always follow the information provided by the chalet host.

Return journey

On the day of departure, take into account traffic, winter conditions, and travel time to the airport or train station. Especially on changeover days, it can be busy in and around the ski areas.

Are you traveling with an early flight or train? Check in advance how much time you need to travel from the chalet to the airport or station.
