The chalet has 12 bedrooms, ranging from twin and double rooms to rooms for three and four guests, all with their own private bathroom and toilet. This makes Demlhof particularly suitable for large families, groups of friends, and companies looking to stay together under one roof.

The chalet enjoys a quiet location in Finkenberg while still being conveniently situated for the ski lift and ski bus. The 10er Finkenberg is approximately a 9-minute walk away, while the ski bus stops just 150 meters from the chalet. From Finkenberg you have direct access to the varied Zillertal 3000 ski area, with connections toward Mayrhofen and Tux. The Laterndl Pub is also nearby, while the livelier après-ski scene in Mayrhofen is easily reached by bus or taxi.

During your stay, you will be looked after according to the Wens Chalets formula. Breakfast is prepared every morning, a freshly prepared three-course dinner is served on six evenings, and selected drinks are also included. Group accommodation in Finkenberg for up to 29 guests

Chalet Demlhof is spread across four floors. The upper three floors have a total of 12 bedrooms: nine twin or double rooms, one triple room, and two four-person rooms. Every bedroom has its own private bathroom and toilet. This is particularly convenient when traveling with a larger group: you can all stay together under one roof while still having private bathroom facilities for every room.

The bedrooms are spacious and functionally furnished and have a balcony overlooking the surrounding mountains. Demlhof has a traditional Austrian character and is somewhat simpler in places than our most modern chalets. In return, the chalet offers plenty of space and a practical layout for larger groups.

The shared living and dining area is located on the first floor. This is where you start the day together over breakfast and meet again after skiing for dinner or a sociable evening. From the living room, you can also access the south-facing terrace, where you can sit outside until later in the afternoon on sunny days. The heated ski storage room is also located on this floor, where you can safely store your skis and snowboards ready for the following morning.

Fully catered ski vacation with the Wens Chalets formula

Catering for a large group on a ski vacation normally requires quite a bit of organization. At Chalet Demlhof, our chalet hosts take care of much of this for you. They prepare breakfast every morning and serve a freshly prepared three-course dinner on six evenings. Soft drinks, beer, and wine are also included during your stay. While you are out on the slopes, the chalet hosts keep the chalet tidy and take care of the daily cleaning.

This means that after a day of skiing, you do not have to shop, cook, or reserve a restaurant every evening for a large group. You simply return to your own chalet, where dinner is prepared for you and you can spend the evening together.

Quiet location in Finkenberg close to the ski lift

Chalet Demlhof enjoys a peaceful location in Finkenberg in Austria. The 10er Finkenberg is approximately a 9-minute walk from the chalet and takes you directly into the ski area. The ski bus also stops just 150 meters from this accommodation in Finkenberg. It is useful to know in advance that the walk toward the lift is uphill. Several of our guests therefore choose to take the ski bus or leave their skis and ski boots in a depot near the lift.

After skiing, you can head to the Laterndl Pub in Finkenberg for après-ski. Those looking for the better-known après-ski scene in Mayrhofen can easily reach the village by bus or taxi. Chalet Demlhof is therefore particularly suitable for groups who appreciate a quiet base while still having the lively atmosphere and après-ski of Mayrhofen within easy reach.

Skiing in Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000

From Finkenberg, you have access to Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000. The ski area extends around Finkenberg, Mayrhofen, and Tux and offers plenty of options for both recreational and experienced skiers. This is particularly convenient for larger groups, as not everyone has to choose the same slopes or routes during the day.

The Hintertux Glacier is also part of this ski area in winter. Here you can ski at altitudes of up to 3,250 meters on wide, snow-sure slopes, making the glacier an excellent addition to the other slopes of Zillertal 3000. Experienced skiers can, among other things, tackle the 60 km Glacier Circuit, while at the top of the glacier you can enjoy the views from the panoramic terrace. The Natur Eis Palast, a remarkable ice cave beneath the glacier, is also well worth a visit.

At the end of the ski day, the group comes together again in its own chalet. In our experience, it is precisely this combination of a large and varied ski area during the day and one shared accommodation in the evening that makes Demlhof a good choice for families, groups of friends, and corporate ski trips.

What guests say about Chalet Demlhof

Guests particularly appreciate Chalet Demlhof for its spacious bedrooms with private bathrooms, the shared living and dining area, easy access to the ski bus, and the service provided by the chalet staff.

“We had a fantastic week at Chalet Demlhof in Finkenberg. The chalet is within walking distance of the ski lift and the ski bus stops close to the chalet. Mayrhofen is also easy to reach by bus, via the slopes, or by taxi. The bedrooms are spacious and clean and all have their own private bathroom. The shared dining and living area is perfect for sociable evenings with the group. The chalet hosts made our vacation complete: they were welcoming, helpful, and flexible, and we enjoyed delicious meals. We would recommend this concept to any group!”

Heleen Jakobs, stayed with 21 guests at Chalet Demlhof, Finkenberg.

“What a fantastic five days we had with our colleagues at Chalet Demlhof. Our hosts Max, Gabriella, and Lukas did everything they could to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was delicious and we were extremely well looked after. The chalet is cozy, with a lovely living room and spacious bedrooms that all have their own private bathroom. Finkenberg is also a great ski area. We would definitely come back!”

Ingeborg van Delden, stayed with 20 guests at Chalet Demlhof, Finkenberg.

“A comfortable and welcoming chalet with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. The interior is typically Austrian and a little dated in places, but that does not detract from the atmosphere. The ski lift is easy to reach on foot, although the walk there is uphill. We therefore left our skis in a depot near the lift. We had a fantastic chef and enthusiastic, helpful chalet hosts. If you are looking for lots of après-ski, this is a quieter location, but for us it was perfect.”

Debby Mill, stayed with 24 guests at Chalet Demlhof, Finkenberg.

Why we recommend Chalet Demlhof

According to Wens Chalets ski specialist Thijs, the main strength of Chalet Demlhof is the combination of space, privacy, and sociability within one group accommodation. With 12 spacious bedrooms with private bathroom facilities, a group of up to 29 people can stay together without constantly having to share the same facilities. At the same time, the large shared living and dining area ensures that you can really spend time together as a group. Here you can enjoy dinner together, have a few drinks afterward, or end the evening with a game.

Demlhof is not the most luxurious or modern chalet in our range and you cannot step straight from the front door onto the slopes. For that, we have other chalets in our range. However, if you are looking for a spacious and atmospheric catered chalet in Finkenberg with excellent service, private bathrooms, and access to Zillertal 3000, Demlhof is a very complete group accommodation.

Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000

Ski- & Gletscherwelt Zillertal 3000 is one of the best-known and most versatile ski areas in Tyrol, Austria.
